Psalm 143 Bible verse wall art, morning sunrise painting

In September 2022, I had my third baby, Evangeline. I’d had a healthy pregnancy and delivery, and so it was absolutely terrifying when 24 hours after birth, Evangeline began to seizure and stopped breathing. She went into septic shock and we spent an unexpected three weeks with her fighting for her life in the NICU, and seven weeks total in the hospital. It was brutal, and Jesus was with us.

When we first got to the NICU, I felt paralyzed in bed every morning. It was as if all the grief + overwhelm had slowly collected into my body through the night, absorbing into vein and muscle and bone until I weighed a thousand pounds. I needed the Lord, and I needed Him in the morning. Needed Him to bring me word of His unfailing love, needed Him to show me what to do.
