Collection: Grief and Hope

In September 2022, I had my third baby, Evangeline. I’d had a healthy pregnancy and delivery, and so it was absolutely terrifying when 24 hours after birth, Evangeline began to seizure and stopped breathing. She went into septic shock and incurred brain damage, and we spent an unexpected two months with her fighting for her life in the hospital. It was brutal, and Jesus was with us.

I painted these pieces as I processed our journey, both in the hospital and once we got home. These were the verses that meant most to me as I clung to hope in Christ. My prayer is that they can be used to encourage someone facing great loss, providing hope in the middle of tremendous grief.
