Romans 8:38-39 Bible verse wall art

When I was pregnant with Cassius, I went to a event at church where the teacher asked the question, “What is the one thing you want to accomplish in your children before they leave home?” A mama raised her hand and said, “I want them to be absolutely convinced that they are entirely, unconditionally loved by me.” She said it with such emotion + clarity that it left me with an ache in my heart for my son to know the same.

This is the heart of this verse. After listing a whole bunch of broad categories, Paul just covers all his bases and says there isn’t ANYTHING that can separate us from the love of God. So today, if you are feeling separated from God’s love, it isn’t true. That secret shame you’re carrying isn’t strong enough. Those years you spent off-course didn’t lead you far enough. The heaviness in your soul can’t bury you deep enough. We can stand firm, absolutely convinced that we are entirely loved by Him.
